This "ep" by Fear Konstruktor from Russia consists of five alchemy-inspired drone-ambient tracks and one remix. As far as drone - which this definitely still is - goes, the music is quite diverse and mutable. It has great depth and fullness, and it is at its gloomiest moments actually oppressive. Speech samples have been used well, and they add to the mood rather than just stealing all the attention. To be more precise, they make the non-dronelike parts in the music blend into the whole, in a very interesting manner.

The sole disturbing trait is that some of the elements have a very clinical feel to them, especially when their tones and those of the warm, choral-like background come into conflict. Nevertheless, even the final track, a remix of Kenji Kawaii's theme for Ghost in the Shell fits in perfectly, to both the style of Fear Konstruktor and the tones and moods of this ep.

Fear Konstruktor has created not only a fine record, but also a display case example of how music that is freely available online can be of a much higher quality than numerous works in the same genre that have been published in an actually tangible form.

Tämä venäläisen Fear Kostruktorin lyhyt "ep" koostuu viidestä alkemian innoittamasta drone-ambient -raidasta ja yhdestä remixista.
