Peacebombs on varsin kliinisen oloista noisea, jossa on seassa runsaasti häröilyä. Soundit ovat suhteellisen ohuet, eikä mikään ole oikeastaan ennen kuulematonta. Lisäksi pakettia sotketaan tahallisella väärinlaululla ja hassuttelevalla puheella. Puolituntinen nelosraita antaa kyllä osviittaa siitä mihin olisi pystytty, mutta sekin jää puolitiehen toimimattoman sekavuutensa ja soundien hataruuden takia.

Maailma – varsinkin pienet noise-yhtiöt – on pohjimmiltaan pullollaan tällaista tavaraa, josta huomaa että rahkeita parempaan olisi, mutta massasta erottumiseen vaadittavaa erityisyyttä tai ideoita puuttuu. Peacebombs liikkuu jossakin huonolla tavalla ärsyttävän ja muuten vain keskinkertaisen noisen välimaastossa, eikä ainakaan toistaiseksi vakuuta minua millään tasolla.

Peacebombs is quite clinical-sounding noise, in the midst of which there’s a lot of fooling around. The sounds are quite thin, and nothing on the disc is really something that has not been heard before. The set is furthermore complicated by intentionally distorted singing and tomfooling speech. The half-hour long fourth track does give a clear inkling on what could have been accomplished, but it too gets just half-way there, due to a dysfunctional confusion and too thin sounds. The world – especially small neoise labels – is full of this sort of stuff, where you can see that there’s talent for more, but any ideas or special points that would set the release above the mass of its peers is missing. Peacebombs is currently somewhere between unpleasantly irritating and otherwise mediocre noise, and for now does not really impress me in any way.
