Spirochete Fever can be desribed by stigmas like "dark industrial" or "noise", but they ll fall way below the mark. This is purely a question of personal experience and the limits of personal tolerance. Recant doe not have any shades of gray, it's simply either-or: you either take it as your own, or it will never please you.

Among the 20+ trere are a few less than a minute long bursts, which further emphasize the captivating serenity that now and then takes over the album. The feel of it all is just so "out there" that words fail the reviewer, never mind how one tries to match them. If nothing else has, the surrealistic Palm Tree Apocalypse makes sure that everything the listener knows about safe and familiar, traditional music, falls apart. Spirochete Fever isn't just listened to, it is experienced somewhere in the bogs of reason and rationality.
